The 1

A search for the next number 1

The 1 aims to uncover the world’s next best female cricket all-rounder by putting contestants through a series of tests covering the three disciplines; bowling, batting and fielding.

2023 – Are YOU the 1?

The tests are designed to showcase each contestant’s athletic ability under pressure, creating an entertaining offshoot of a traditional sport and providing opportunities for talented female cricketers in a male-dominated sport.

The 2021 event was won by Maddy Reynolds  and By Rhia Sedha in 2022.

Who can enter?

The combine-style competition is open to girls aged 12-18 years old and is a product of the Girls Cricket Club.

The winner will receive a range of sought-after prizes and international profile to support them on their journey to professional cricket.
